Donate to The Arc of Loudoun to advocate for, educate, serve and support our families!

Provide a lifetime of opportunities for people with disabilities!

Each year, The Arc of Loudoun serves more than 6,000 of our neighbors with disabilities, their families and caretakers, educators, advocates, and members of the law enforcement, first responder and judicial system communities.

Unfortunately, the pandemic forced us to cancel all in-person activities for Shocktober, our largest annual fundraising event. While we’re extremely grateful to our Shock fans who joined us virtually, our “Why We Shock” friend-raisers, and our extremely generous sponsors, ALL-VIRTUAL SHOCKTOBER brought in just 8% of our average annual Shocktober income, leaving a huge gap in our funding for this year.

I invite you to join me this giving season in raising funds that are needed now more than ever before.

Your support is absolutely crucial—and you’ll be in great company when you give to The Arc of Loudoun. 100WomenStrong and the Community Foundation for Loudoun and Northern Fauquier Counties have each offered $10,000 matching challenge gifts to encourage your generosity. All gifts received by December 31, 2020 will be matched dollar-for-dollar.

With your donation, The Arc of Loudoun will be closer to our ultimate goal: a just, equitable world for people with disabilities. Together we CAN make a difference—not just for today, but for a lifetime.

Here’s a glimpse into what you make possible when you donate to The Arc of Loudoun:

  • You help a student with severe Autism get a laptop and access to the internet to participate in distance learning.
  • You help adults with disabilities get the clothes they need to start their new jobs.
  • You help a family get the stair lift they need so their growing child with cerebral palsy can access their entire home.
  • You enable a dad to make modifications to a bathroom so his adult son with muscular dystrophy can safely shower in his own home.

While the new challenges we are all experiencing related to the pandemic continue to grow, individuals with disabilities and their families continue to need compassionate support, education, advocacy, and guidance to navigate life with a disability.

When you support The Arc of Loudoun, you give people with disabilities and their families “a life like yours”.

On behalf of the staff, volunteers, students, clients, and families of The Arc of Loudoun, thank you for all you have done—and will continue to do—for people with disabilities. My best wishes to you and your loved ones for a happy holiday season and a healthy, prosperous New Year.

Sincerely,

Chief Executive Officer

P.S. All donations received either online or postmarked by December 31, 2020 will be matched dollar for dollar up to $20,000. Please give your best gift today!

P.P.S. GOOD NEWS! The CARES Act allows individuals to deduct cash contributions, up to 100% of their 2020 adjusted gross income, on itemized 2020 tax returns. This is up from the previous limit of 60%. Please consider giving your largest gift in 2020 to The Arc of Loudoun.
